Malaika was founded in 2004 by two Ecuadorian designers after they relocated to Egypt. Their design backgrounds and keen interest in embroidery, crochet and hand-drawn thread work led them to use Egyptian cotton to produce high- quality bed and table linens that are delicately hand-embroidered. At the heart of Malaika's philosophy lies a deep commitment to social responsibility. They empower local women by teaching them the art of hand embroidery, a valuable skill that provides them with a source of income and economic independence. This training program not only preserves a cherished tradition but also fosters a sense of community and pride among the artisans.The Malaika Fayoum pottery collection, with its bold and original floral and leaf designs, is handcrafted using an art form dating back to ancient Egypt.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Delicate machine wash warm (40°C). Wash similar colors together, using color-safe detergent for colored items. Use non-chlorine bleach on white items only. Do not soak, remove promptly from washing machine and tumble dryer. 

• Reshape and iron while damp. May be dry-cleaned.
